I’m a London-based book designer with extensive professional experience creating covers and interiors for trade, illustrated, academic and memoir publishing.

I love working with authors, editors and publishers to develop thoughtful, engaging designs that bring each book’s character to life. From initial ideas through to finished artwork, I enjoy the full creative process — developing concepts, commissioning illustrators, refining typography and seeing a project through to print.

My experience spans a wide range of subjects, including the arts, humanities and popular culture, and I have worked with publishers including Thames & Hudson, Hurst and Boydell & Brewer, as well as independent authors and organisations.

Alongside my freelance practice, I currently lead the Pro Design department for an independent publisher, managing multiple projects from manuscript to finished book.

I believe the best book design comes from a close collaboration between author, publisher and designer — creating something that not only reflects the content, but also connects with readers.
